Hi, I'm Leon I'm an AHPRA registered osteopath based in Ballina with a focus on treating the head, neck and jaw. After completing a Masters of Osteopathy in New Zealand, I worked across various busy practices in Auckland and Melbourne before moving to the Northern Rivers to start a family in 2020.
Early in my career I developed an interest in treating headaches and migraine as many patients would present with other issues but on further questioning also experienced regular headaches or dizziness. Often, despite seeking treatment for their symptoms, they still did not have a good understanding of the underlying cause and had not been given good management advice.
This led me to setting up a dedicated head, neck and jaw clinic to provide effective, evidence-based, osteopathic treatment to help people reduce symptoms and live a better life. At present I am actively looking to work with local sports clubs and teams to provide information and guidance on head injury assessment (HIA). This includes how to screen for concussion post head injury and manage concussion (particularly in adolescents) with regards to school activity and return to sport.
